Berrick Salome Parish Drainage Group – Update 14th May 2026

Thames Water (TW) have advised that Phase 1 sewer lining and sealing work (in Roke/Rokemarsh), started in Q3 2025, is scheduled to resume in the first week of June.

OCC Highways have confirmed road closures to facilitate this work and hopefully, this time, weather conditions will permit everything to go as planned.

Please follow the links below to the relevant maps and notices, for details of where the closures are and the dates applicable.

In summary, there will be 2 road closures:
1. From the T-Junction towards and just past Harrow Corner in Rokemarsh. Starting 01/06/26. Anticipated completion 03/06/26
2. Close to the T-Junction Roke/Rokemarsh adjacent to the fishing pond. Starting 04/06/26. Anticipated completion 06/06/26.

The dates are as per the closure notices issued by OCC Highways.

TW has been requested to confirm that the work scheduled represents the completion of Phase 1. However, they have so far not done so.

And despite repeated reminders, TW have also not made good on their commitment to repair roads and verges damaged during the work conducted over the winter months. We will continue to press them.
